Do you know what web browser you are using right now?

If you don't, you're certainly not alone. Lots of people will name their operating system (like Windows or Mac) or search engine of choice (like Google or Yahoo) when asked to describe a web browser. In fact, a web browser is neither of those things, but is instead a program on your computer that allows you to visit websites. Examples of web browsers are Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome.
